So you want raiding level blacksmithing plans for non-raiders via “epic” questlines? Is not the game easy enough for you already? There are 496 plans in this first tier that are indeed BoE as well as the patterns themselves, merely takes gold. Yet you suggest “epic” quests so you don’t have to raid, I know why not just take raiding out of the game and people can just quest all day for all thier epic gear and patterns, because obviously players love doing this already via this new dailies system MoP has…….

In the eleventh World of Warcraft podcast episode, we ask if it’s worth it to achieve max level cooking, the impact to the change to Redbelly Mandarin pools with patch 5.1, the Potion of Luck and is it worth crafting and using, synchronizing addons for multiple computers, and the week 3 update to our gold-making challenge.

- Change to Redbelly Mandarin pools in Jade Forest

- Patch 5.1 removed pools of Redbelly Mandarin from the Jade Forest
- Overall, price spiked to about 14g each after the patch, now down to about 11-13g (range higher on EU realms: 12g-23g ea avg price)
- Patch was released on 11/27, and quantity took a dive and keeps falling
- Can now be found only in Townlong Steppes (Inland, and not many locations) or in Vale of Eternal Blossoms (but pools are shared with two other types)
- Find one of the spawn locations and fish in open water (1/3 drop rate for RBM)

Pet Battles

- There are two types of “rare” pets: Quality vs. Spawn.
- Any pet that you can battle has a chance to be of “rare” quality.
- Check health of pets you can battle in a particular zone. If a pet has more than average, then chances are it is rare.
- AddOn called “Battle Pet – Quality Notifier”
- The quality / rarity of the wild pet
- If the pet species is an upgrade in quality (Upgrade)

- Windsong and Elemental Force Information

- Recent hotfix to both the Windsong and Elemental Force enchants to improve their performance.
- Windsong is a weapon enchant that will “sometimes increase your critical strike, haste, or mastery by 1,500 for 12 sec when dealing damage with spells and melee attacks. Requires a level 372 or higher item.”
- Blizzard community manager Daxxarri now claims that Windsong is now a useful enchant for all classes and specs (save Hunters who use scopes and Death Knights who use Runeforging) since it will trigger on all damage or healing, be it spell, melee, or ranged, and direct or periodic. Elemental Force will also trigger from all damage, so is useful for all damage dealers.
- To create the enchant, you’ll need 12 Spirit Dust (2.5g ea) and 1 Ethereal Shard (30g), a total of 60g.
- Currently selling for about 150g
